Poetry: Let Silence Speak Tonight

Night falls gently,
You watch me move
candlelight and shade;
that familiar beauty
Come closer—
let silence speak tonight.

fingertips say
what lips conceal.

Desire in your eyes,
hunger in your touch.
Your breath so warm
against my skin.

The bedroom door shuts
there’s only us,
the room dissolves, to only this:
husband and wife
together and alone.

Softness behind your smile,
familiar warmth of your skin.

kissing,
caressing,
half-whispered laughter,
tangled sheets
our bodies moving
in rhythmic tow.

Our love burns
ignite into a fire
that defies death.
With every touch
you hold me gently
kissing me fiercely
gripping the arch
on your bare back.

You are satisfaction.
All of my delight!
Our reckless heat unfolds
Slow, familiar murmurs
yield way to bodily demands.

We move as one,
a storm inside our quiet house,
My lover, my spouse
the only man who has my heart.
